|JCP Miniature Horses|
I apologize for my lame rhyme, but you heard me! Spring is here, our LAST foal has been born, and I have finally taken the giant leap to better my herd. Training. Its nothing big though. No worries there! I am beyond terrified of ruining my horses with my inexperience.
This year, we'll be focusing on ground manners. Everybody could use some most definitely! This year we've already been working on refreshing our leading skills and how to approach a gate without charging. We've been making huge successes, and have even moved onto ground poles.
In our 2011 filly we've begun halter breaking and setting up. She has taken to it like a frog to a fly! (Okay, that was lame.) She is the most easiest foal we've every had!
My goals for the following years is to send Bow to a professional trainer for driving and jumping. For Pete and Ale, our 2011 filly, I would like to someday train them to jump because I feel that they have the speed for it. They love to run.
